Breaking News! Led Zeppelin O2 Reunion Show to Be Released in November 2012 on DVD

After rampant rumors that there would be some Led Zeppelin related activity around Christmas this year, it has now been reported that the famous reunion concert in London at the O2 Arena in 2007 will be released on double DVD in November 2012.

According to Warner Music, a double DVD, accompanied by two CDs, will be available for purchase of the legendary concert which took place in 2007 at the 02 Arena, where 9 million
people had tried to buy 18,000 tickets available. The band reunited for one night only giving
fans their first full set of music since their last show in Berlin in 1980

A few months back, radio personality, and rock and roll historian Eddie Trunk tweeted, "Heard from a very reliable source backstage at Aerosmith show that there will be some sort of Led Zeppelin activity around Christmas." This new news seems to be in line with what is coming down the pipeline now.

UPDATE

On Led Zeppelin's official Facebook and Twitter page they have posted this image:

The meaning is quite cryptic, but it could be the beginning of a countdown to the official word of the
release of the DVD. I will note that the O2 show was originally announced on September 12, 2007, so it could be that is the date the band is choosing to announce the new release.

Of course it could be something else entirely...new music perhaps?
I'll leave you all to speculate on the details.

UPDATE II

Here is a tweet from Jimmy Page's manager, Peter Mensch, all but confirming the release of the reunion: "it's almost here. I've seen it and heard it. almost 5 years to the day"
