According to both Jimmy Page and his manager Peter Mensch it appears that fans of Led Zeppelin can expect to see remastered versions of all of the group's studio albums next year. Word around the grapevine is that these new re-masters will possibly include alternate takes and unreleased material as well. According to an interview Page gave to Mojo Magazine in their latest edition the guitarist reveals that there are plans to release each studio album as a box-set with additional material from each album and that they WILL be released next year. It appears that project bears a bit of resemblance to Pink Floyd's recent "Immersion" re-issues of their classic studio albums.
This announcement was given further weight in an interview Krisi Murrison recently did with Jimmy's manager Peter Mensch for the Sunday Times UK in the article, the interviewer alludes to being "in a taxi heading to the west London studio where Jimmy Page is holed up, remastering every Led Zeppelin LP". Additionally, in an article in The Australian it is revealed that artist Shepard Fairley is hard at work on re-designing the art work for the upcoming releases.
It is unknown at this time what to expect from the upcoming box set releases, but with remastered versions of Led Zeppelin's back catalog, as well as proclamations of pursuing a solo album and tour, it looks like 2013 will be a very busy year for Jimmy Page, and a very rewarding one for all of his many fans.
